The Ama Fold
Lay the napkin flat on the table with the embroidery facing down.
Fold the top of the napkin down so it covers roughly one third of the napkin’s height.
Fold the bottom of the napkin up, bringing it almost all the way to the top edge, leaving a small margin.
Turn the napkin over so the smooth, folded side faces up.
Fold the left side of the napkin inward so its edge lines up with the center.
Fold the right-side inward so its edge meets the center and neatly aligns with the left fold.
Turn the napkin over again to reveal the finished Arna fold, adjusting the edges so the shape looks clean and even.
